The heart of the trunk is dry fruit, the gift Diwali is known for: a 16 oz Afghan tin, Medjool dates and pistachios, enough to refill the bowl all week. The brass diya and a rose candle light the doorway. The saffron is from our sister house, Raihan Saffron. Grade A saffron threads from Herat, Afghanistan.

Steep a pinch of threads in warm milk for 10 minutes, then let the recipe cards take it from there.

Every box includes a handwritten note, a keepsake box, tissue and ribbon. This one comes in our keepsake trunk. Packed by hand in Lynn, Massachusetts.

The story

We built the Golden Diya trunk for the house everyone ends up at during Diwali. It is vegetarian and alcohol-free, generous with dry fruit and dates, and packed in a trunk worth keeping.

Shipping and order-by dates

Orders are packed by hand in Lynn, Massachusetts and ship within 1 to 2 business days. Standard delivery then takes 2 to 5 business days, and Express takes 2 business days.
