The centerpiece is 2 g of saffron from our sister house, Raihan Saffron. Grade A saffron threads from Herat, Afghanistan. Tested by the Saffron Quality Control Lab, Herat Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (Report 004389). Meets ISO 3632-1:2010 Category I on all tested parameters. The report covers our March 2026 lot. Whole cardamom and a vanilla bean fill out the spice drawer.

Start with the buns: steep the threads in warm milk for 10 minutes before they go into the dough, and cover the bowl with the linen tea towel while it rises.

Every box includes a handwritten note, a keepsake box, tissue and ribbon. Packed by hand in Lynn, Massachusetts.

We built the Saffron Baker's box to put our sister house's saffron where it belongs: a warm kitchen. It is the most hands-on box we make.
