The throw is the centerpiece: a cashmere blend, soft and light enough to live on the sofa all winter rather than in a closet. The fir candle brings the smell of the tree into whatever room they are in. Two mugs and the cocoa mean nobody has to get up for a while.
The saffron is from our sister house, Raihan Saffron. Grade A saffron threads from Herat, Afghanistan. Steep a pinch in warm milk for 10 minutes and the recipe card takes it from there.
Every box includes a handwritten note, a keepsake box, tissue and ribbon. This one comes in our keepsake trunk. Packed by hand in Lynn, Massachusetts.

We built the Fireside trunk for couples and for the person who is always cold. It is built around one evening: throw, candle, cocoa and two mugs on the same sofa.
