Kuumba, the sixth principle of Kwanzaa, asks us to leave our community more beautiful than we found it. So we chose a ceramic bowl as the centerpiece: useful every day and good to look at on the table. Kuumba means creativity, which is why the linen journal and brass pen are here.

The honey is for the Karamu table on December 31, and the journal is for the year that starts the next morning.

Every box includes a handwritten note, a keepsake box, tissue and ribbon. Packed by hand in Lynn, Massachusetts.

The story

We built the Kuumba box around the sixth principle of Kwanzaa, creativity. It holds a journal to write in, a bowl to use every day and honey for the Karamu table.

Shipping and order-by dates

Orders are packed by hand in Lynn, Massachusetts and ship within 1 to 2 business days. Standard delivery then takes 2 to 5 business days, and Express takes 2 business days.
